Tiramisu

A recipe from the Sicilian side of the family

This was the first dessert we shared on our channel, and it came into our kitchen through the Sicilian side of the family. The most important thing is the quality of the ingredients, especially the mascarpone and coffee.

Time

30 min (plus 2 to 4 hr in the fridge)

Servings

6 to 8

Difficulty

Easy

Before you start

  • Take the mascarpone out of the fridge a little beforehand so it mixes in more easily.
  • Choose a good-quality pure cocoa powder: it's the last flavour that lingers on your palate.

A tip from our kitchen

Best made the day before and enjoyed within 24 hours.

Safety note

Contains raw eggs. Always keep refrigerated and eat within 24 hours. Use very fresh eggs from a trusted source, and don't leave them out of the fridge. Not recommended for pregnant people, young children, older adults or people with weakened immune systems; in these cases, use pasteurised eggs instead.
